Alisha Bruce

Alisha Bruce has worked on a wide range of employment matters, including several high profile litigations involving claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. She has also counseled employers on a variety of workplace-related disputes, including employee terminations and discipline, leave and accommodation requests, and general employee relations matters. Alisha also provides strategies and counseling on developing, implementing, and enforcing employee policy, handbook, and training curriculums.

Prior to joining Hecker Fink, Alisha was an associate at Proskauer Rose LLP, representing clients across a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, and educational institutions. She maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in immigration, asylum, and child custody matters.

Alisha received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as the Submissions Manager and Communications Chair for the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender, as well as Secretary of the Black Law Student’s Association. During law school, she worked as a student attorney for the Criminal Justice Institute and the Youth Advocacy Project, representing indigent adult and juvenile defendants in criminal proceedings. In addition, Alisha worked as a teaching assistant for the law school’s Trial Advocacy Workshop.

Alisha received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Howard University where she received the Howard University Capstone Scholarship and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
