Ali has extensive experience in defending manufacturers in national orthopedic and medical device litigation, specifically working with scientists and experts. She has worked with teams of fact and expert witnesses from various disciplines and prepared them for their depositions and trial testimony. She has experience in handling claims for exposure to asbestos-containing products and other toxic tort issues, including representing premise owners, insurers, and manufacturers. Ali has also represented corporate and individual clients before federal, state, and administrative courts in all phases of litigation. She has drafted and argued motions and oppositions before federal and Louisiana state courts. She also has briefed various legal issues to federal and state trial and appellate courts. Before returning to Irwin Fritchie in 2017, Ali was a senior attorney at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, where she represented children in immigration proceedings. There, she created the agency’s pro bono referral program and supervised cases placed with volunteer attorneys throughout New Orleans.
