Academic Background and Early ExperienceAli earned her JD from Campbell University School of Law, where she received a partial merit scholarship and worked as a part-time paralegal. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, graduating with a double major in English and Psychology and earning Dean’s List recognition.
Before attending law school, Ali relocated to North Carolina and completed a paralegal certificate program at Meredith College in Raleigh. She then began working in a legal setting, gaining early exposure to client advocacy and case management that would later shape her career path.
Developing a Focus in Workers’ CompensationAli was introduced to workers’ compensation law while working as a paralegal. She continued in that role while pursuing her degree, gaining firsthand experience with the day-to-day realities faced by injured workers. After earning her law degree, she transitioned into a full-time attorney position, where she continued to build her practice in this area.
In 2015, Ali joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, where she has focused exclusively on workers’ compensation matters. Her experience allows her to assist clients with a wide range of issues, including communicating with employers and insurance carriers, trying to resolve disputes, and working for outcomes that support her clients’ moving forward.
Approach to Client RepresentationAli’s practice is centered on helping clients feel informed and supported during what can be a stressful and uncertain time. She understands that many individuals are unfamiliar with the workers’ compensation process and may be concerned about making mistakes that could affect their claims.
“After an on-the-job injury, many people are scared of saying or doing the wrong thing with an insurance company or their employer. I find it very rewarding to use my education and experience to help guide them.”
Ali’s approach emphasizes clear communication, organization, and thoughtful problem-solving, with a focus on helping clients move forward with greater confidence.
