Alexandre Forest

Alexandre Forest is a member of Gowling WLG Montreal's Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Insolvency Group and Commercial Litigation Group, notably construction and real estate law and commercial leasing. He was Bâtonnier (president) of the Montreal Bar in 2019-2020, the youngest to serve as such.

His practice involves representing companies in the process of restructuring as well as their creditors and also focuses on various aspects of commercial and civil litigation and real estate. Alexandre's experience covers a wide range of mortgage remedy matters (particularly regarding construction liens), landlord/tenant disputes, construction claims as well as the elaboration of various emergency procedures (injunction, safeguard order, etc.) and latent defect matters. He has also worked on several international files including various cases pertaining to the international jurisdiction of Québec courts.
