Alex Abston is a Senior Attorney who focuses on complex litigation disputes within the Firm’s Business Litigation practice group.
Alex’s trial advocacy foundation shapes her strategic approach to dispute resolution. Most recently, Alex spent years as a member of the Firm’s trial team assisting with high-stakes mass tort cases. Her work has been instrumental in securing many notable Lanier jury trial verdicts, including one of the nation’s first federal jury verdicts in MDL 2804, In re: National Prescription Opiate Litigation.
Alex considers it an honor and a privilege to amplify her clients’ voices in their pursuit of justice. She approaches all disputes first from a “human” perspective, then a legal one. As she puts it, “If you forget the humanity of our practice, you lose the purpose of what we’re doing.”
Her tenure with the Firm spans over 15 years, beginning with a high school internship and evolving to include time within all the Firm’s various practice groups. Her diverse practice has bridged practice groups to include litigation relating to products liability, commercial litigation disputes, deceptive trade practices, asbestos exposure, antitrust violations, and pharmaceutical and medical device industry disputes. Previously, she clerked at a prominent complex litigation firm where she concentrated on products liability and civil sexual abuse litigation.
Alex is a native Texan who loves Houston sports and spending time with her family and their golden retrievers.
