In Martinez v. Harman Fitness LLC, Alec reached a $5 million settlement after seven days of trial on behalf of a mother whose son passed away at a commercial fitness facility. As a key component of the settlement, Alec negotiated terms requiring all staff members across the defendant’s dozens of facilities to be fully CPR and AED certified, ensuring a lasting impact on public safety.

Alec earned his law degree from the University of San Diego, where he was awarded the School of Law Honor Scholarship and served as a member of the National Trial Team. While in law school, he also worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. He holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and remains a loyal fan of the Buffs.
