Albert “Al” Hudec is Senior Counsel at Farris LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. His practice focuses on commercial transactions involving Indigenous parties, corporate transactions, and strategic business matters across Canada. Over the past decade, Al has acted as lead counsel on many significant Indigenous-related transactions involving major projects, infrastructure, and resource development.
Al advises clients in Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Mining Law. With more than 40 years of legal experience, he represents public and private companies, boards of directors, independent committees, investors, lenders, and business owners in a broad range of domestic and cross-border matters.
His work includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, corporate governance matters, venture capital financings, take-over bids, plans of arrangement, and board and special committee representation. Al has extensive experience advising clients in the mining, forestry, oil and gas, infrastructure, technology, and wine industries throughout British Columbia and across North America.
