Adina-Cristina Georgescu

Adina Georgescu practises in administrative, municipal, environmental and energy law in Miller Thomson’s Montreal office.

Her practice includes public and constitutional law and litigation. In municipal law, she advises and represents landowners, promoters and public bodies, on planning and execution of large-scale real estate ventures, on the operation of companies and the management of properties (including compliance with applicable laws and regulations; municipal litigation; issuance and transfer of permits and authorizations; preservation of natural areas; amendments to urban planning regulations).

She guides landowners through the negotiation, inquiry and compensation processes of formal and de facto expropriations in Quebec, and has also developed a specialty in property tax law, assessment and tax exemption.

Adina also practices in energy law, including regulation, rate approval, implementation and extension of networks (gas and electricity), implementation and operation of renewal energy production and distribution projects, and has particular experience with energy transition and renewable energy.

In environmental law, her practice is comprised of counsel and litigation representation (including class actions) in various areas; nuisances and neighbourhood disturbances (noise, odours, dust, etc.); environmental compliance; issuance of authorizations; characterization, rehabilitation and contaminated soil management; recycling and valorization of residual materials.
