Adil Hirji practices corporate, commercial and securities law with a focus on corporate finance, public and private equity and debt offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. His practice also involves advising issuers on TSX, TSX Venture and CSE listings, including in connection with initial public offerings, reverse takeovers and qualifying transactions. With respect to mergers and acquisitions, Adil has advised clients on a range of complex transactions including plans of arrangement, amalgamations, restructuring transactions and takeovers. He also has experience advising issuers on corporate and commercial legal matters, continuous disclosure, corporate governance, and banking transactions. He has experience assisting public and private companies in all stages of the business lifecycle.
Adil received his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) with a major in Finance from Dalhousie University. During his undergraduate degree, he spent a semester in the United Kingdom, as well as a semester in China on an internship. He received his Bachelor of Law (LL. B) with honors from the University of Durham and completed the Canadian accreditation examinations. Mr. Hirji also completed the Canadian Securities Course certification.
He was previously a member of the Council of Champions of the Calgary Public Library Foundation Board of Directors and the West Island College Alumni Advisory Board.
