Adam C. Kibort is a Partner with Grund & Leavitt. He currently serves as President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL).He practices exclusively in the area of family law, representing parties in the litigation and resolution of matrimonial and family related matters. He counsels clients on a wide range of divorce-related issues including custody disputes, analysis of complex financial matters, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and the disposition of marital and non-marital assets.Mr. Kibort has successfully litigated issues including (without limitation): maintenance and child support; fraudulent transfer and dissipation claims; valuation and division of assets; adequate compensation and characterization of marital and non-marital assets. Mr. Kibort has successfully represented parties in international and multi-jurisdictional family law litigation, including actions under the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Hague Convention) and the International Child Abduction Remedies Act (ICARA).
