Biography

Adam Berger represents individuals and families in Seattle and throughout Washington who have been affected by wrongful death, serious personal injury, medical malpractice, deceptive business practices, and wage and hour violations. His practice includes Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Plaintiffs and Medical Malpractice Law - Plaintiffs, with a focus on helping clients pursue accountability in complex litigation.

At Schroeter Goldmark & Bender, Adam handles cases involving medical negligence, consumer class actions, and employment class actions arising from unpaid wages and other workplace violations. He works with clients facing significant physical, financial, and emotional challenges and has experience litigating matters involving hospitals, healthcare providers, corporations, and employers.

Adam joined Schroeter Goldmark & Bender in 1999. Before joining the firm, he spent more than eight years with the nonprofit law organization Earthjustice, representing clients in environmental litigation throughout the Pacific Northwest. His legal background includes service as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark L. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

In recognition of his public service work, Adam and three of his partners at SGB received the Washington State Bar Association’s 2013 Award of Merit for their pro bono representation of Governor Christine Gregoire in litigation supporting the Affordable Care Act. In 2021, he received the Professionalism Award from the Washington State Association for Justice.

Adam has remained active in legal and community organizations throughout his career. He has served on the boards of the Northwest Consumer Law Center and the Washington Environmental Council, as well as on the Executive Committee of the William L. Dwyer American Inn of Court. He has also volunteered as an attorney with the World Wildlife Fund in Vietnam and frequently served as an instructor for National Institute for Trial Advocacy programs in Seattle.
