Biography
Abanoub “Ab” Henry is a trial lawyer and a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was an Executive Editor of The Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. While at Harvard, Mr. Henry worked with the Harvard Law School Cyberlaw Clinic, where he drafted and submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in a landmark patent case regarding assignor estoppel. Mr. Henry also has experience working on the legal side of sports; working locally for The Houston Dynamo, as well as abroad, for UCFB Wembley at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom.
During law school, Mr. Henry worked at AZA for two summers as a summer associate, beginning in 2020. While at AZA, he led a coalition aimed at combatting human rights violations against the Orthodox Christians in Turkey. Mr. Henry also drafted an amicus brief which was submitted to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America on a First Amendment issue.
Before attending Harvard Law School, Mr. Henry graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, as a Presidential Scholar, with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Arabic. He was active in biomedical and genetics research with the University of Texas.

- Successfully representing Marathon Oil Company in a six-day federal jury trial. Marathon prevailed on its declaratory judgment claim of $9.8 million and defeated Koch’s $123.7 million counterclaim for breach of contract.
- Successfully taking over the defense of Sesame, Inc. against patent-infringement claims brought by MDSave in the District of Delaware related to telehealth technology. On the eve of a hearing to invalidate all six of MDSave’s asserted patents, AZA negotiated for a complete dismissal of the case.
- Successfully defending a patentee in an inter partes review proceeding in front of the Patent & Trademark Office.
- Successfully representing a patent owner in the enforcement of its patent, ultimately securing a favorable settlement on the eve of trial after multiple key wins in the lead-up to trial.
- Successfully briefing and arguing all types of motions across a wide variety of cases, including claim construction, dispositive motions, expert challenges, discovery disputes, and jury charge conferences.
- Successfully defeated mandamus petition before the Texas First Court of Appeals, preserving a favorable spoliation finding.
- Taking a key role in multiple 8 to 9-figure cases, including examining multiple witnesses in evidentiary hearings and jury trials.
