I’m a litigator and trial advocate at Keating Wagner Polidori Free and I represent businesses and individuals who have been defrauded or injured by someone in a position of trust in business cases. As a commercial litigation attorney, I am passionate about representing people or businesses who are victims of fraud, abuse of power, breach of contract or professional negligence. I have successfully worked on Colorado civil lawsuits with anywhere from $2,000 to $2,000,000,000 at stake with each lower damage case handled as passionately as large damage cases.

As a plaintiff attorney, I enjoy going up against big corporations or large insurance companies representing the “underdog.” I advocate for my clients with the most knowledgeable and creative problem-solving techniques that can only come from a seasoned attorney.

My areas of practice are unique and highly specialized – as no two clients are the same.

Complex Commercial Litigation, Lawsuits, Appeals

I represent businesses and businesspeople in high-stakes commercial disputes in Colorado federal and state courts. Whether the client is a company or an individual, I have the skill and expertise to prosecute plaintiff claims and counterclaims to obtain a successful verdict. When the issues are breach of contract with another business, breach of a fiduciary duty between business partners, a trade secrets or non-compete issue, tortious interference with a commercial relationship, or the terms of a “business divorce,” I know that these kinds of disputes require both legal acumen and thoughtful attention to evolving business concerns. I have also counseled and co-counseled many personal injury cases that involved complex business issues and worked with clients to resolve professional liability matters such as legal malpractice or accounting malpractice.

Fraudulent Transfers & Fraudulent Conveyance in Colorado

All too often, I see people who owe money transfer their assets to avoid collection. Not only is this offensive to the administration of justice, but in Colorado it can be a violation of the Colorado Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act. I partner with victims of fraudulent conveyances on collecting their judgment in Colorado to ensure they are not cheated out of what’s owed. Many times, my clients have questions concerning the statute of limitations for fraudulent conveyance in Colorado and I am happy to help them with answers in this regard. Preventing and prosecuting fraudulent transfers is a specialized area of law that requires creative thinking. It is particularly satisfying because wrongdoers who try to hide their assets deserve to be held responsible for their bad acts.

Probate Litigation

My law practice also includes representing beneficiaries or personal representatives of estates, contested wills, spousal elective shares, disputes between trustees and beneficiaries of a trust, claims by and against estates, and other matters that involve Colorado probate litigation. This work often involves complex asset tracing to prove negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and wrongdoing by trustees and personal representatives. These cases often come at a time of great stress and emotional upheaval. I ensure my clients get the legal support they need while compassionately trying to reduce the mental burdens attendant to probate disputes.

Serious Colorado Personal Injury

After a Colorado catastrophic injury, I help clients assess what needs to be done with compassion and experience. I have successfully worked with clients to ensure the best outcomes for their family while they endure uncertain and overwhelming circumstances.

Additional Background Information

I’m an avid soccer player, skier, and cyclist. I have officiated eleven weddings and traveled to 49 of the United States. I was born and raised in Denver, have strong ties to the community, and have enjoyed serving multiple local organizations. My volunteer work with the Colorado Legal Aid Foundation has been particularly satisfying as it helps low-income Coloradans access the civil justice system. My pro bono representations have touched on matters of public interest. These include campaign finance litigation, an election contest matter, litigation regarding the use and closure of a public park, a criminal defense case implicating first amendment rights, and litigation concerning a public housing authority’s wrongful failure to reasonably accommodate a disabled client.
