Sean P. Schmergel opened the practice in 2004 to provide clients in a divorce or other family-related crisis with strong advocacy and a helping hand in what is often their most difficult and vulnerable moment.

We are not a "general practice" law firm. We focus exclusively on divorce and family law. We believe that limiting our practice in this manner allows us to be more proficient and stay abreast of developments in family law which affect our clients. The firm therefore offers a full range of services in the limited areas of family law, including divorce, premarital agreements, child custody and support.
