KARO IP - Kahlhöfer Rößler Kreuels Patentanwälte PartG mbB
Based in Duesseldorf and Munich KARO IP combines practical knowledge and skill in the field of patent law, particularly as it applies to automotive and smart technology, with extensive experience in patent infringement matters.
KARO IP was established in 2018 after a spin-off from another well-established patent attorney firm in Duesseldorf. The KARO IP team has been successfully working together for more than 15 years and bundles technical and scientific knowhow in all issues related to intellectual property rights.
All attorneys are well experienced German and European patent attorneys covering all fields of technology with a special focus on physics, engineering, IT and medical technology.
The firm aims to develop and implement ground breaking new ideas for providing clients with efficient, in-depth and proactive advice. KARO IP develops patent strategies and portfolios, even for such futuristic technologies as autonomous driving, artificial intelligence or the blockchain, and represents their clients in all IP-related disputes.
KARO IP offers premium quality tailored to the specific needs of its clients. Due to the size of the firm, the core team of 9 attorneys with its wide ranging and complementary set of skills is highly adaptable. A team of professionals is put together on a case-by-case basis. Supported by highly qualified patent engineers and paralegals, the patent attorneys of KARO IP ensure that the best possible protection in both technological and economic terms is afforded.
If required, KARO IP can also provide project-related extended teams with specialised patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law due to close cooperation with “best friends” firms, e.g. Braun-Dullaeus Pannen Emmerling.
KARO IP has access to a nationwide network of preeminent law firms and lawyers who specialize in judicial enforcement of intellectual property rights. The firm advises clients in depth and recommend the specialists who are appropriately qualified for their cases. KARO IP has no binding commitments to specific colleagues or firms, however.
Thanks to its international network of cooperating firms, KARO IP is able to assist even internationally operating clients competently and to ensure on short notice that they are represented at the international level by specialized lawyers.
KARO IP has profound knowledge in patent prosecution. The firm manages bilateral legal proceedings before patent offices and patent courts as well as multinational infringement matters in Europe. The patent attorneys are increasingly committed to the enforcement of intellectual property rights in the field of mobile communications, Internet of Things (IoT), etc. in Germany.
The firm counsels companies especially in the automotive and telecommunication sector, with emphasis on futuristic technologies in these fields; e.g. industry 4.0, smart devices, autonomous driving and communicating cars/vehicles.
KARO IP also gives attention to the rising demand of trademark and design matters, freedom-to-operate analyses and the management of large patent portfolios. An increasing area is KARO IP´s patent litigation work. The firm frequently participates in major patent disputes in Germany.
