Billy N. Jones, Georgia 2018 "Lawyer of the Year" in Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiff

Mr. Jones is a graduate of the Mercer University Law School. He was selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America© from 2010 through 2018. He served as a member of the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia from 1976 until 1995. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the International Society of Barristers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) serving in 1996 as president of the Georgia Chapter. He was president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in 2000.

Jones has been a member of Jones, Osteen and Jones for 45 years, having joined the firm in 1973, after a year’s service as assistant district attorney. Mr. Jones has been involved in complex litigation for years involving wrongful death and serious and devastating personal injury cases against motor common carriers and automobile manufacturers. He has also represented clients in connection with maritime cases. He has been lead counsel in hundreds of jury trials. He was chairman of the Board of Directors of The Coastal Bank of Savannah, Georgia.
