Attorney April Toy, a member of Meissner Tierney's commercial litigation practice group, authored an article for the Marquette University Law School Faculty Blog titled, “Implicit Bias and the Gender Leadership Gap.”

April’s article examines a significant barrier that women in the workplace face today: implicit bias. She explores how implicit bias contributes to the gender leadership gap experienced in professional environments, including the legal profession, as well as what role it plays in hiring, promotions and leadership decisions. The article comes on the heels of a panel discussion moderated by April for the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Diversity Counsel Program.
