Malone Law’s pursuit of justice began more than 50 years ago when legendary litigator, the late Tommy Malone, opened the firm in small town Albany, Georgia in 1965, at a historic time of national change and progress. Adam Malone, Tommy’s son and law partner for more than 17 years, continues the tradition of excellence he and his father established by obtaining justice for the victims of catastrophic injury and wrongful death and continues to bring about positive change for citizens throughout Georgia.

While Adam’s main objective is to improve the lives of his clients, he hopes by focusing the substantial resources of the entire firm on only a few select cases at a time, he can also effect systemic change to help avoid future disasters involving the same preventable errors. “[We] hope that our efforts and results transcend any one case by bringing about positive changes for our entire community,” Adam Malone says.

This desire for positive, wide-reaching change was instilled in Adam as he watched his father accomplish the same during his illustrious 50-year career. Adam was inspired as his father secured unprecedented verdicts that served as the catalyst for legislative change, including a verdict of $45 million against an HMO involving the unnecessary amputation of both arms and both legs of a 6-month-old baby. This verdict brought about significant changes, which made managed healthcare safer for all.

Adam leads the charge for Malone Law’s pursuit of justice and has himself obtained a $24.5 million record verdict in his hometown of Albany against a local hospital for the needless amputation of a 14-year-old football player’s leg. Adam’s efforts not only help his individual clients but also target positive change for the citizens of Georgia. One of his proudest accomplishments is securing a verdict that led the Georgia Supreme Court to declare arbitrary legislative caps on quality of life damages unconstitutional in medical malpractice cases. This unanimous Supreme Court ruling ensures the right to a trial by jury and a full verdict for those negligently injured by the carelessness of others.

Over the course of the firm’s history, Malone Law has received numerous accolades and honors for its hard work. Since 2010 Adam has been an annual fixture in The Best Lawyers in America©, in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs and Medical Malpractice Law - Plaintiffs. In 2016, Best Lawyers named him Atlanta’s “Lawyer of the Year” in Medical Malpractice Law. He has also been named one of the top 10 Super Lawyers in Georgia for three years in a row.

Like his father before him, Adam holds the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell as AV Preeminent in legal ability and ethics and is among a small number of lawyers who have been board-certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA) in the field of medical negligence.

Malone Law is also dedicated to many philanthropic statewide and community endeavors, helping to raise awareness for injury prevention and to improve the lives of residents in Georgia and beyond.
