A Texas-Sized Reputation

Dan Sciano’s proven record of success and leadership has made him a highly sought-after plaintiff’s litigator in the Lone Star State.

Daniel J.T. Sciano maintains a stellar reputation both in and out of the courtroom. Sciano is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in two areas of the law—Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. The dual board certification is a distinction held by only about 1 percent of approximately 100,000 attorneys currently licensed to practice law in Texas.

Sciano has set a standard of thoroughness for himself and every member of his firm that continues to stun even the most seasoned opposing attorney. “We go further than leaving no stone unturned,” says Sciano, who was awarded San Antonio Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs in 2010 and 2012. “Preparation for us means being more knowledgeable than the opposing party about every aspect of the injury-causing incident and every person or entity involved. If an entity is involved, we want to know more about their company, property, products, and regulations than they do, no matter the size of the case.”

Always fighting for those whose lives have been catastrophically affected because of the negligence of others, Sciano is regarded as extremely skilled in many areas of personal injury, including trucking litigation, claims involving unsafe premises conditions, and defective products. His longstanding presence in the legal community and collaborative nature continues to generate referrals which time and again result in favorable outcomes, many times surpassing prior offers or projections. “It’s always an honor when another professional trusts us to fight for a client,” Sciano says.

We have decades of litigation experience handling complex commercial and personal injury matters and are a firm with a proven record.

In addition to handling high-stakes personal injury matters, he and the firm also have extensive experience with litigating trusts and estate matters, probate, breach of fiduciary duties, oil and gas litigation, and many other practice areas that fall under the banner of civil litigation.

Sciano is a past president of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, a leader in several professional associations, and is a highly regarded legal speaker, teaching on various continuing legal education topics for the State Bar of Texas at the Advanced Personal Injury and the Advanced Civil Trial courses. He regularly speaks on the ever-changing federal motor carrier safety regulations, at trucking safety seminars, the State Bar of Texas trucking course, and for local bar associations.

Sciano’s practice is diverse in nature, recently resolving cases involving a company vehicle transporting hazardous materials that exploded near Eagle Pass, Texas, causing a fatality and numerous serious injuries; an intersectional collision resulting in a fatality in Oklahoma caused by an unqualified, inattentive driver; a royalty dispute between a landowner and an oil and gas company; and an airplane crash in Colorado caused by pilot error. “We have decades of litigation experience handling complex commercial and personal injury matters and are a firm with a proven record,” Sciano says.
