Stephanie A. Russo is a Partner in the Miami office of Broad and Cassel. She is a member of the Firm's Health Law and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.
Ms. Russo advises healthcare providers regarding health care operations, compliance, transactions, and litigation issues, including peer review, credentialing and medical staff issues, bioethics, HIPAA, EMTALA, Stark, anti-kickback, government investigations and subpoenas, and commercial litigation.
She has represented one of the nation’s largest providers of health care services since 1999.
Ms. Russo is board-certified as a specialist in health law by The Florida Bar. Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.
She has achieved an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the agency's highest mark for both competency and ethics, which only 5 percent of attorneys receive.
Ms. Russo was recognized in the 2009 - 2016 editions of Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers in Healthcare.
She also was recognized in 2013 - 2017 by the top legal guide The Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodward and White.
Ms. Russo co-authored and lectured on The Fundamentals of Medical Staff Issues: Minimizing Risks and Maximizing Collaboration published by the American Health Lawyers Association in 2011 and authored a chapter of The Florida Bar Health Law Handbook regarding EMTALA.
She is Past Chair of The Florida Bar's Health Law Certification Committee. She also was a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Academy of Healthcare Attorneys.
