Practises exclusively in the areas of labour and employment law representing management of public and private sector organizations engaged in a variety of different activities and industries, including clients engaged in aerospace, broadcasting, construction, the provision of community services, the provision of health care services, hotels, manufacturing, mining, news media, printing, publishing, retail, transportation and utilities.
Provides advice and opinions on all matters relating to labour and employment law. Negotiates, drafts and provides advice relating to the interpretation of collective agreements. Provides advice to employers on matters relating to employee discipline and termination, employment agreements, corporate reorganization and changing employment conditions, human resource utilization, workplace policies and procedures and all aspects of federal and provincial labour and employment law, including matters under federal and provincial labour relations legislation, human rights legislation, employment standards legislation, workplace safety and health legislation and provincial workers' compensation legislation. Represents employers before arbitration boards, human rights tribunals and labour boards in several provinces. Also represents employers in applications for judicial review and litigation relating to injunctions, restrictive covenants, wrongful dismissal claims and workplace safety and health prosecutions.
