Michelle is a member in Dickinson Wright PLLC's Detroit office, with a primary focus on complex business and intellectual property litigation, including antitrust and patent litigation, in federal courts in Michigan, Texas, and Delaware, arbitrations before the AAA and other tribunals, and International Trade Commission (ITC) actions involving the automotive, mobile phone, and insurance industries. Michelle also has experience with DOJ investigations and a secondary focus on eDiscovery in both the United States and abroad, including Japan.
Walter Toebe Construction Company — Lead counsel for Walter Toebe Construction Company in AAA Arbitration stemming from unpaid contract balance on Federal construction project, resulting in Final Arbitration Award in favor of Walter Toebe.
Federal-Mogul Corporation — Second chair for Federal-Mogul Corporation in two International Trade Commission (ITC) patent infringement trials involving claims of illegal importation of wiper products. Obtained an initial determination of infringement in favor of Federal-Mogul in one matter before both matters were settled favorably to Federal-Mogul following trial in the second matter.
AT&T Mobility LLC — Member of litigation team for AT&T Mobility LLC in patent infringement action in the Eastern District of Texas involving the routing of wireless E911 class. Succeeded in obtaining very favorable claim construction ruling that led to quick resolution of case.
Ford Motor Company — Member of trial team for Ford Motor Company in multi-million dollar contract action resulting in no cause of action following four week arbitration, affirmed on appeal. Responsibilities included discovery, witness examination, and legal briefing.
