Mr. Coxson represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.  He focuses his practice on traditional labor matters, representing management in unfair labor practice cases and representation proceedings, arbitrations, and union organizing campaigns.

He also is the Chair of Ogletree Deakins' Government Relations Practice Group and a Principal in Ogletree Governmental Affairs, Inc. where he represents clients as a business community advocate on public policy matters before Congress,  Executive Branch and regulatory agencies, and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court where he has filed numerous amicus curiae briefs on labor and employment law issues. He has represented U.S. Employers before the U.N.-sponsored International Labor Organization and is considered to be an expert on global labor standards.

Case History

Experience — Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Coxson was a field attorney for seven years with the National Labor Relations Board, Region 5 in Baltimore, Maryland, where, among other things, he investigated and successfully litigated numerous unfair labor practice cases, and served as a hearing officer in complex representation cases.
