David F. Maron practices primarily in the areas of business and product liability litigation. Mr. Maron's diverse litigation practice focuses throughout pretrial on discovery, fact and expert witness preparation, challenges to improper venue and jurisdiction as well as other strategic motion practice to prepare cases for trial. Mr. Maron is active in leadership within the profession with state, national and local bar committees.   • Local coordinating counsel and court appointed defense liaison counsel for In re: Mississippi Medicaid Pharmaceutical Average Wholesale Price Litigation, Master Docket 09-444, Chancery Court of Rankin County, MS (defense of individual corporate defendants and coordination of joint defense discovery and motion practice involving over 80 cases of attorney general-initiated litigation against pharmaceutical companies).
  • Represented Mississippi Insurance Department in $1.6 billion corporate restructuring of Mississippi's largest property and casualty insurer under Mississippi insurance holding company and change of control statutes including significant document review, depositions of expert and fact witnesses, and preparation for administrative hearing.
  • Appellate counsel for amicus in support of Mississippi tort reform statutory cap on non-economic damages in several constitutional challenges to the cap before Mississippi Supreme Court.
  • Lead counsel in arbitration for pharmaceutical company, favorably resolving multi-million dollar dispute involving aseptic manufacturing of biopharmaceutical product.
