We are a different breed of trial attorneys. The bulk of our professional time is spent getting medical treatment for out clients and getting medical bills and lost wages paid. Our goals are to help you recover from your injuries and to make the community a safer and better place to live.
Much of our personal time is spent supporting various charitable organizations. We never get paid unless we win for our clients. When we win for our clients a portion of the fees go to community charitable organizations such as United Way, Red Cross, The Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson (TECH), Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Hutchinson Symphony, the Family Community Theater and the Fox Theater. We provide scholarships at Hutchinson Community College and at Kansas State University. We also sponsor Hutchinson High athletics, Buhler High athletics and music and Trinity High School. Our attorneys currently serve on the Board of Directors for United Way, TECH, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence and previously served on the Boards of Interfaith Housing, Big Brothers, Friendship Daycare and American Red Cross. Our attorneys and staff donate blood. We also provide books to every toddler and preschool child in the Buhler and Haven School districts through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Through our clients and our legal advocacy we strive to make a difference in the community and across the country. For example, we have been able to change hospital medication procedures so that patients are not overdosed by hospital staff. We have been able to get motorcycle wheels redesigned so that wheel failures do not cause injuries and deaths. We have fought racism in the workplace. We have fought retaliation in the workplace against workers who have been injured or who blew the whistle about abuses by management. We have fought trucking companies who make their drivers falsify log books and drive while exhausted. And we have been able to get nursing homes to provide security to protect residents from abuse.
