Steve Rayman, the principal partner of Rayman & Knight, has been a Michigan attorney since 1979. After joining Walsh & Miller (which later became Walsh, Miller, Rayman & Langeland), Steve’s first eight years focused on representation of secured creditors, mortgage holders and other lenders in bankruptcy and reorganization matters. In 1988, Steve decided to start his own firm, which would focus on representation of debtors in bankruptcy and reorganization.
Over the course of time, Steve has become one of the leading specialists in bankruptcy and reorganization in Michigan. He is the only attorney in West Michigan certified by the American Board of Certification in both consumer and business bankruptcy. Steve has personally represented over 2,000 people in their individual debt consolidation matters. He has filed more Chapter 11s than any attorney in West Michigan. One year he filed one-third of all Chapter 12 (agricultural reorganization) cases in West Michigan. Steve is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and reorganization matters, although mostly lecturing other lawyers in Michigan, he has recently spoken about individual reorganizations in Washington, D.C. and about bankruptcy trustee matters in Palm Springs, California.
Steve understands various problems and pressures that both people and companies are under when they have debt problems. He is ready willing and able to help those in need of his assistance.
