Steve Fink focuses on commercial litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, and bankruptcy-related matters. Steve’s goal, however, is to help clients resolve even the most complex problems as quickly and as cost-effectively as possible.
Steve takes the time to identify what is important to each client he serves and then implement a strategy that achieves that end in a way that builds confidence and de-escalates acrimony when possible. Steve represents business owners, investors, developers and institutional clients in a wide variety of contract and commercial disputes, such as claims involving shareholder conflicts, and in an array of real estate disputes, including title, easements, judicial and non-judicial foreclosure, zoning, construction and eminent domain, among others.
He has represented clients in deals that involve office buildings, restaurants, cemeteries, strip malls, hotels, apartment buildings, swimming complexes, marinas, incomplete housing developments and industrial parks, funeral homes, manufacturing facilities, and farming operations, as well as raw land for development. He offers significant insight into and practical solutions geared toward overcoming complex land use and rezoning issues.A frequent invited guest speaker by a variety of businesses and professional organizations, Steve is the author of Acquiring Distressed Commercial Real Estate, and co-author of The Bankruptcy Code and Indiana’s Mechanic’s Lien Law.
