Sid Dunagan has over 40 years experience in federal and state litigation, specializing in class actions, complex litigation, oil & gas disputes and product and professional liability. Sid joined GableGotwals as a law clerk in 1966 while he attended the University of Tulsa College of Law, and re-joined the firm after serving with distinction in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps from 1968 - 1973. He is a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and Meritorious Service Medals.
Sid is a member of the American Bar Association where he served in the House of Delegates from 1993 - 1994, and the American Bar Foundation where he was Oklahoma's state chairman from 1989 - 1991. He was a Trustee of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation from 1992 - 1993. In the Oklahoma Bar Association, Sid was a member of the Board of Governors from 1984 - 1986; Vice President in 1987; and President in 1994. He is a member of both the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Tulsa County Bar Association, where he was President from 1990 - 1991. He served as a Director of the Tulsa County Bar Foundation from 1991 - 1997. He is also a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for the past 20 years. Since 2008, Sid has been named one of the Top 50 Lawyers in Oklahoma. Tulsa County Bar Association recognized Sid as its Outstanding Senior Member in 1992. The University of Tulsa College of Law named him Outstanding Senior Alumnus in 2005. Sid received the Oklahoma Bar Association's prestigious John E. Shipp Award for Ethics in 2007. In 2010, he received the Oklahoma Journal Record's Leadership in Law Award.
