Sheryl counsels her clients on the many aspects of traditional labor law, including day-to-day labor relations, contract interpretation and processing of grievances. She represents clients at arbitration, defends against unfair labor practice charges at the NLRB and represents employers throughout all stages of union organizing efforts.
Sheryl regularly counsels her clients on a wide range of employment related matters, including discipline and discharge, leaves of absence, wage and hour law, employee relations, plant closings and reductions-in-force. Her practice also focuses on preventative employment practices, including human resource policy development, statutory and regulatory compliance, and the avoidance of discrimination claims. Sheryl likewise assists clients in drafting and reviewing employee handbooks, employment applications, and other employee related documents, and provides guidance in tailoring specific responses to the many unique situations that arise in the workplace.
