Samuel T. 'Ted' Oliver's practice is centered on commercial real estate acquisitions and real estate finance. He represents public and private real estate clients in land acquisitions entity formation, real estate finance, sales and purchases of developed and undeveloped properties, and general business and development issues.
Ted, now the senior attorney and leader of Manning Fulton's real estate practice, has been with the firm since graduating from law school in 1979. His wide range of real estate experience includes representing borrowers and lenders, land owners and developers, landlords and tenants in various commercial transactions.
Ted has actively participated in various professional groups including the Real Property Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Real Estate Specialization Committee of the North Carolina State Bar, and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and has spoken at numerous continuing legal education seminars through the years. He also taught the course in Real Estate Finance Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law from 1998 to 2014.
In addition to assisting clients in the acquisition, financing, leasing, and sale of virtually all types of properties, including portfolio transactions in excess of $500,000,000.00, Ted has advised clients in the real estate brokerage industry regarding the rules, regulations and licensing of real estate professionals in North Carolina.
