Mr. Stubbs has served as lead trial counsel in cases involving commercial fraud, business torts, alleged kickbacks, intellectual property, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy, class action litigation, superfund liability and multinational mass tort. He has developed a body of experience in matters relating to extra-contractual liability, corporate environmental liabilities, and international sovereign immunity. Mr. Stubbs has extensive experience representing major oil and gas and chemical companies in a variety of international commercial disputes, technology companies in patent litigation, and financial institutions in commodity, lender liability and indentured trustee litigation.
Mr. Stubbs is currently a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Federal Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and ABOTA. He is a past Chairman of the Litigation Section of the Houston Bar Association. Mr. Stubbs serves on the Special Olympics Texas 2009 Board of Directors, the Boards of the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
