Bob Van Brocklin is a partner and immediate past Firm Managing Partner (2008-2015). As Managing Partner, Bob was the CEO of Stoel Rives responsible for the overall management of the Firm and the implementation of its strategic priorities. Prior to serving as Managing Partner, Bob chaired Stoel Rives’ Land Use, Environmental, Natural Resource, and Real Estate practice group firm wide.
Bob concentrates his practice in energy, real estate, and infrastructure development, including on complex project siting and administrative law and policy matters. Bob has represented industrial, commercial, retail, governmental, institutional, natural resource, and other clients on a wide range of projects, including obtaining regulatory and administrative approvals necessary to construct facilities. Bob has also assisted clients in a wide range of governmental proceedings and negotiations in the Northwest and at the federal level.
Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Bob served on the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation in Washington, D.C. and as Director of Government Affairs for the City of Portland, Oregon.
