Richard Engl is a German tax consultant (Steuerberater) and joined P+P Pöllath + Partners in 2007. He has practiced tax law since 1976 and was a partner in a leading German tax and law firm (between 1982 and 1995) and thereafter self-employed. He is well recognised by independent rankings as one of Germany's leading senior tax advisors.
Richard focuses on advising multinationals in corporate tax law, international cross-border transactions (both in- and out-bound and including transfer pricing issues and solving tax audit disputes) and tax aspects of any corporate reorganisations (including pre- and post-acquisition).
His publications include articles on taxation, and he is author as well as editor of special books dealing with legal and tax aspects of the reorganisation of groups of companies. He studied at the University of Regensburg and the Penn State University.
