Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Paul worked at Sullivan & Cromwell and Patterson Belknap in New York City, and he served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Sullivan of the Southern District of New York. Before law school, he served as a policy aide in the Washington offices of Congresswoman Ellen O. Tauscher of California and Congressman Harry E. Mitchell of Arizona.
