Mark is a Labor and Employment Law attorney who has practiced exclusively in the field of labor and employment law on behalf of management for more than 25 years. He represents a wide range of private employers in such industries as real estate, entertainment, and manufacturing. In addition, Mark represents numerous Villages, Towns and School Districts. His practice encompasses all aspects of Labor and Employment Law, including discrimination claims, wage and hour litigation, collective bargaining, arbitrations, workplace investigations and non-competition agreements. Mark's practice also includes representation of management in administrative proceedings before the New York State Division of Human Rights, National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other agencies. He has drafted dozens of employee handbooks and counsels employers in avoiding discrimination claims and other kinds of litigation.
In addition to defending employers in litigation, engaging in collective bargaining and counseling clients on a variety of workplace issues, Mark has trained hundreds of managers and supervisors in preventing workplace harassment and workplace violence. Bar associations and management groups have asked him to lecture on such topics as employee discipline, wage and hour regulations, the investigation of alleged workplace misconduct and the drafting and enforcement of noncompetition agreements. Mark serves on the editorial board of The Employment Law Strategist, a monthly newsletter published by Leader Publications, a division of the New York Law Publishing Company.
