Mark J. Aaronson graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1969 and worked for a year for the New York City Corporation Council’s office. He then began working for a 12 lawyer private firm in August of 1970. Over the course of time that firm grew to approximately 250 lawyers and by the time Mr. Aaronson left with three of his partners to form Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch, LLP in December of 1992, Mr. Aaronson had become a permanent member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Over the course of his litigation career, Mr. Aaronson has concentrated in the defense of claims involving complex medicine and high exposure and has taken numerous defendants’ verdicts against many of New York’s leading plaintiffs’ attorneys.
He has lectured extensively to various local and national physicians’ organizations, as well as hospitals, on a wide variety of legal issues dealing with risk management and the defense of medical malpractice cases.
Mr. Aaronson has repeatedly been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, he has also consistently appeared in the New York Times “Super Lawyers Section” as a Top Attorney in the metropolitan area, as well as New York Magazine’s “New York Area Top Lawyers.” For the last 25 years, Mr. Aaronson has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell as being judged “AV Preeminent,” which is that organization’s highest peer review rating, a rating which is based on legal ability, and ethical standards.
