Mae Chow is a partner practicing in our business solutions, real estate, and estate solutions practice groups. In her business law practice, she focuses on small and mid-sized corporations; dealing with all matters including the sale of a business, reorganization of ownership, and financing. Mae's real estate law practice focuses on residential purchase, sale and financing as well as commercial acquisitions, leasing, and financing. In her estate law practice, she provides families with advice and direction in the preparation of wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives and works alongside families when there is a death to administer the estate assets. Some of Mae’s clients include large agricultural and diary operations.

Mae has been active in the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA), has lectured on behalf of LESA and served on LESA's Board of Directors. She was a Panel Chair of the LESA Real Estate Refresher in Lake Louise and most recently in October of 2020, a presenter at LESA’s Real Estate Refresher. In the past, Mae was active with the Law Society of Alberta, serving on the Competency Planning Committee as well as being a member of the Conduct Panel and lecturing for a number of years on professional responsibilities/ethics for the Bar Admission Course.

Mae was a past participant on the Real Estate Practice Advisory Committee for the Law Society and is an advocate for education in Alberta. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1990. She joined the Drayton Valley location in 2006.

Active in her local community, Mae was a past chair and volunteer in the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited, past President of the Community Scholarship Trust Society, member of Pembina Crisis Connection Society, volunteer as a “celebrity” dancer for the Humans Helping Humans Housing Foundation fundraiser, was an MC at Shakin' 'N Drayton, a current volunteer for the organizing committee of the DV100 Race or Ride for the Drayton Valley Community Foundation and is currently a Director of the Frank Maddock High School Blue and Gold Society.
