Larry Stewart joined Adams and Reese in 2005, following the firm's merger with Stokes Bartholomew. He is a member of the Public Finance Team and the Health Care Team in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Group.
Practicing law since 1974, Larry has extensive experience in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial reorganization, public finance, and litigation. Larry also serves on the Claims Counsel and is a member of the Ethics Committee.
His other significant contributions include:
- Serving as a bankruptcy trustee and representing secured lenders and debtors.
- Working on defaulted municipal and private activity bond issues as well as acting as bond counsel in numerous deals.
- Helping convert a county owned hospital to a private non-profit hospital and continuing to represent them for over 20 years.
Among the people Larry admires, President Obama, Jimmy Carter, the late General George Thomas and Thorstein Veblen make the top ten list. When Larry isn’t practicing law, he enjoys golf, basketball and gardening.
