Kirill Ratnikov is an of counsel to RGP in our Corporate practice. He has handled over one hundred merger and acquisition transactions in various industries, including cross-border deals. Kirill has participated in infrastructure, project finance, EPC industrial construction and PPP projects in various industry sectors with a total value exceeding US$50 billion. He has regularly represented listed corporations and financial institutions, brokers and dealers, depositary banks and custodian banks on ADRs, Eurobonds and Euronotes projects, as well as in connection with exchange and OTC hedging instruments and complex derivatives including disputes arising on such transactions.
Prior to joining RGP, Kirill was a senior counsel at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld and has practiced with a number of international and Russian law firms in Moscow. He was Vice President/Head of Department for Legal Support of International Projects of Rusatom Overseas Inc. (State Corporation Rosatom) responsible for EPC/constriction project finance projects in Latin America, Africa, South-East Asia, India.He is currently a professor at the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Project Finance Department of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and was previously an associate professor of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University). He is a co-author of the original Federal Concession Law. Mr Ratnikov is a member of the PPP Committee of the Russian Chamber for Commerce and Industry; an expert counsel on PPPs and Infrastructure of the State Duma and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP); a representative of Russian business in PPP Business Advisory Board of UNECE (Geneva); and an M&A expert on the expert board of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
