Kimberly Hayden leads the Energy + Infrastructure practice and is a member of the Business Services and Property + Development teams. She is an experienced project leader and committed team player. Kim has worked as corporate counsel for several Vermont utilities and represented numerous energy clients on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.
Kim currently represents national and regional energy companies in connection with renewable energy generation siting, interconnection, power purchase agreements, and commercial transactions. Recent successes include Vermont Public Service Board approvals for commercial-scale solar generating facilities (over 20 MW), approval of Chittenden County’s first community-scale (12 MW) commercial wind farm, Vermont Public Service Board approvals for siting of major regional electric transmission facilities covering more than 170 miles of new high voltage electric transmission lines and dozens of high voltage substation upgrades, and obtained Public Service Board approval of a negotiated 26-year hydro power purchase agreement with Vermont’s two largest utilities as lead counsel on behalf of 20 Vermont electric utilities.
Prior to joining PF+C, Kim was a senior Director at Vermont’s largest law firm, heading its renewable energy practice.
