Kimberly (“Kim”) Gillespie is a healthcare attorney whose practice focuses on corporate and regulatory compliance, healthcare transactions, fraud and abuse, healthcare operations, and governance. In the healthcare legal industry, she has represented and advised non-profit community hospitals and health systems, physician groups, large academic medical centers, and managed health care plans.
Kim’s experience working as a senior-level executive for large academic medical centers provides a unique approach to her practice. It is this insight that drives her approach to serving clients today in an effective and efficient manner.
She advises healthcare clients on sophisticated matters including corporate governance, compliance, healthcare fraud and abuse (Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute, Civil Monetary Penalties Statute, and False Claims Act), state and federal privacy laws, hospital and physician transactions, risk management, internal investigations, conflicts of interest, licensing and accreditation, and medical staff/peer review matters. Kim also has significant experience counseling teaching hospitals and academic medical centers on a variety of matters involving clinical research, conflicts of interest and conflicts of commitment, Title IX, and faculty matters.
