Keith Hovey is Of Counsel in the firm’s Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation Groups.
In the Personal Injury practice, Keith represents and counsels clients in litigation involving serious accidents, nursing home negligence, product liability and unsafe premises. In addition, he represents health care professionals in disciplinary matters before New Jersey professional boards. Prior to law school, Keith worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the cardio-thoracic intensive care unit at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. His nursing experience provides a unique perspective on health care issues, allowing him to better serve clients.
In Commercial Litigation, Keith handles a variety of business related disputes involving breach of contract claims, real estate, construction, employment issues, restrictive covenants, civil rights, and government compliance in both state and federal courts. He has been listed among 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation and as a SuperLawyers™~Rising Star each year from 2011-2016 for both Business Litigation and Appellate Law.
Keith is the Chair for the Interested Nurses Political Action Committee for the New Jersey State Nurses Association, and Litigation Section Chair of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. In 2018 Keith was appointed to serve on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Cannabis Law and Medical Malpractice Committees.
Keith received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University – F.P.B. School of Nursing and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law.
