Kathy McArthur was born and raised in North Carolina. Kathy attended the University of North Carolina where she earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Kathy graduated from the University of North Carolina’s School of Law and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1979. After being admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1980, Kathy moved to Georgia to begin practicing law.
Kathy worked as an associate attorney at Mullis, Reynolds, Marshall, Horne and Phillips from 1980-1982 before becoming a partner. As a partner at Reynolds, McArthur and Horne, Kathy dedicated her career to her clients and ensuring injury victims, no matter their backgrounds or ability to pay an attorney, have a voice in the courtroom. In 2007, Kathy established her own firm and has since secured over $250 million in recoveries for her clients.
Kathy is board certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Kathy has been named Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in Medical Malpractice in Georgia for 2019. Kathy has also been listed as one of the Top 10 Lawyers in Georgia for 2019. Kathy has secured record-breaking verdicts throughout her career and has a strong reputation, which is a testament to her litigation skills. She focuses her practice on truck wrecks, automobile wrecks, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
