Katie has represented numerous individuals accused of state and federal crimes. She was also a member of the defense team involved in one of the longest federal criminal trials in state history. Katie joined our firm from the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the District of Oregon, where she worked as a research and writing attorney. During her time there, she specialized in post-conviction cases, working to reduce sentences and overturn convictions of clients charged with federal crimes. Katie enjoys simplifying complex concepts, and she is a practiced legal researcher and writer. She uses these skills to effectively defend the rights of her clients.
Katie attended Boston College Law School on a merit scholarship. As a law student, Katie obtained valuable litigation experience at both the state and federal level. She drafted pleadings and motions on behalf of the State of Oregon, worked as a law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice, and served as an intern at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
Katie is a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association, and Gus Solomon Inn of Court. She is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Continuing Legal Education Committee.
