Juan Daniel "Daniel" Rodríguez Cardoso

Daniel is a founding partner of Rodríguez Rueda, S.C., a corporate financial boutique Law Firm based in Mexico City. Daniel leads the Banking and Finance and M&A practice groups at the Firm. Rodríguez Rueda covers almost all areas of corporate and commercial law, including M&A, finance and banking, capital markets, technology and fintech practice. During the last two years, the Firm has been a pioneer in advising clients engaged in the incipient Cannabis industry in Mexico.

He has 28 years of experience advising domestic and foreign companies doing business in Mexico. As a corporate lawyer, Daniel has particular expertise in representing technology companies in multinational M&A deals and joint ventures. For more than 20 years, he has been an active participant and former member of the board of Itechlaw. For the last decade, Daniel has been constantly recognized by WWL as an IT Thought Leader and a Data and Information Technology Global Leader as well. Likewise, Daniel has been recognized by Best Lawyers as a Banking and Finance Law expert.

Daniel obtained his law degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City in 1995; a Degree in Mercantile Law by Escuela Libre de Derecho in 1999; a Degree in Telecommunications by the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) in 2000; and a Management Program at Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE) in 2013. He is an active member and frequent speaker at the following law organizations: International Bar Association, International Technology Law Association and Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados. As a global advisor, he sits on the board of various companies.
