Mr. Roedel engages in a wide ranging intellectual property practice, including litigation, chemical patent preparation and prosecution, and antitrust cases. He has developed substantial expertise in chemical and chemical engineering patent matters, both organic and inorganic. His prosecution, counseling and litigation practice has ranged over an exceptional wide range of chemical and chemical engineering subject matter including organic synthesis, catalysis, electrochemistry, polymers, protein chemistry, immunoassays, chromatography, sulfuric acid technology, chemical engineering separations and process design, process control, photochemistry and lithography.
In 2012, Mr. Roedel was elected to the American Law Institute, an independent organization of limited membership that produces scholarly works to clarify, modernize or improve the law. Its works include the Restatements of the Law in Contracts, Torts, and various other areas of widespread application.
