Jocelyn Aucoin is a lawyer specializing in insurance litigation, with a particular emphasis on professional liability.
Constantly at the forefront of his clients’ interests, Jocelyn seeks to develop long-term collaborative relationships. He provides personalized support and assistance before, during and after each case, and distinguishes himself with his sharp negotiation skills, among other things.
Jocelyn’s remarkable mastery of his files and his ability to quickly adapt to any situation make him an indispensable asset to Clyde & Co’s international insurance law practice. Jocelyn’s practice is focused on insurance coverage, litigation and dispute resolution, civil and professional liability, product liability, manufacturer’s liability, and hidden defects.
Jocelyn has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2009. He appears before all levels of court and assists and advises clients in negotiating out-of-court settlements, an area in which he excels. In addition to his law degree, Jocelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and international law and is fluent in four languages. He also teaches Insurance Law (civil law and common law) at the Law Faculty of McGill University. He is a winner of the 2019 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards, which recognize Canada's leading lawyers under 40.
Outside of work, Jocelyn sits on the board of directors and promotes the Fondation Madeli-Aide, which provides support and encouragement to the young people of the Magdalen Islands. You might even notice a hint of his Magdalen origins in his accent!
