Jeffrey C. Morgan is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg's Atlanta office and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments.

Jeffrey has a national litigation practice, focused on intellectual property litigation and strategy. He has litigated and tried patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases, and has represented a broad range of clients, from closely-held corporations to Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Jeffrey served as a partner at Troutman Sanders LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP; as a special assistant attorney general for the State of Georgia; and as a special assistant district attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Jeffrey has been published in a number of legal publications, including: IPLaw 360, Recent Trends in Patent Infringement Lawsuits, Intellectual Property Litigation, Georgia Bar Journal, and the Intellectual Property Law Section Newsletter, State Bar of Georgia, among others.

Jeffrey earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1996, where he served as an editor of the Boston College Law Review.

Jeffrey is a member of the Atlanta Intellectual Property Inn of Court. He is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Georgia State Bar Association.

He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits; the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia; the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts; the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas; the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin; and multiple district courts in California and Texas for specific litigations. He is also admitted to practice in the states of Georgia and Massachusetts.
