As Partner in charge of the business law group of Robic, LLP ("Robic"), I specialise in the preparation and negotiation of licensing agreements, technology transfers and in the fields of commercial and corporate law such as VC financing, joint venture, mergers and acquisitions, and product/technology acquisitions.
Since October 2011, I have served as Counsel and now as Board member and corporate secretary to the Licensing Executives Society International ("LESI").
From October 2009 to September 2013, I was a member of the Board of Governors and Treasurer of the Certified Licensing Professional, Inc. (CLP), CLP is the premiere certifying body for licensing professionals worldwide. I also serve as corporate secretary to CQDM and to MeoMed, two not for profit organisations engagred respectively in preconpetitive and competitive drug development.
I am Director and Corporate Secretary of the Canadian Louis Pasteur Foundation.
From October 2008-2009, I was the President of the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. & Canada), Inc. (“LES USA&Canada”) of which I was a trustee since 2001.
I am a member of the Canadian Bar Association (“CBA”); I served on the Executive Committee - Business Law Section.Former President of the Telecommunication, Information and Intellectual Property Law Section (Quebec Division).
Until March 2008, I was a Director of then publicly traded Axcan Pharma Inc. (now Aptalis Pharma inc.) and presently serve on various technology driven private companies.
I was a lecturer at McGill University on "Complex Legal Transactions - Trade Secrets Law and Technology Transfers". I am also a regular lecturer in the areas of technology transfers and intellectual property in commercial transactions to professional and business associations. I also regularly publish articles in my fields of specialisation.
