Edward is a trust and estate attorney with extensive experience in complex estate planning, administration of trusts and estates and trust and estate litigation. He has served as lead counsel in a number of reported Decisions in fiduciary litigation cases at both the trial and appellate level. Edward draws on his experience in trust and estate litigation in counseling individual, corporate and business clients in drafting business agreements, succession plans, and implementation of estate planning through Wills, Life Insurance arrangements, Charitable Trusts and planning for retirement and health care issues. He also consults regularly on estate tax matters with clients, Certified Public Accountants and other professional advisors.
Edward is a frequent lecturer for numerous professional organizations, including the Rochester Institute of Technology Tax Institute, the National Business Institute, the Estate Planning Council of Rochester and the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations. He has also spoken extensively before civil and community organizations. Edward was previously a partner at Chamberlain DAmanda where he was a member of the firms management committee since 1984 and the Managing Partner of the firm since 1995.
In 2011, Edward was honored in Rochester at the 16th Annual Nathaniel Award Dinner and was named as a 2011 Leader in the Law for his personal and professional accomplishments. He authors a monthly column entitled "Fiduciary Litigation" for the Daily Record, a daily publication in Rochester serving the legal, real estate and business community, which can be viewed on the firm's website. Edward has also published numerous articles for continuing legal education programs locally and statewide. He recently authored a chapter entitled "Recent Trends and Developments in Trusts and Estate Strategies" for Inside the Minds, Strategies for Trusts and Estates in New York, published in 2012 by Aspatore, a Thompson Reuters business.
